![]() Too bad they only fit other Sony E-mount cameras. But, anyway, what I'm trying to do is use the lenses I already have. I was looking at a used Canon M and found that, to use the really nice 300mm zoom They make, I'd even need an EF-EM adapter for that. In my case, if it's a manual lens and isn't mirrorless-specific, I buy the EF version for adaptability. In the case of manual-only lenses, I believe many of the Samyangs and Rokinons can be unofficially re-mounted, but you need to have a donor lens to cannibalize from. Major issues with getting enough space for that, it would be extremely challenging. It might be might be possible to stuff the electronic guts of a smart EF to E adapter into an EF-M lens and get the modified EF-M lens working on an E-mount camera. I would just need to buy another small adapter if I wanted to use my C-mount 25mm F1.8 on an EF-M camera. Or you can buy lenses that can be adapted to both mounts. If it is a manual lens swapping the lens mount on the lens between E and EF-M is certainly possible. Since most APS-C cameras have about the same form factor, it seemed likely, but I guess not. Well, I can certainly understand that, where it applies to other makers' DSLRs, but I was hoping to be able to use Canon's mirrorless models with my Sony E-mount lenses. E-mount's flange distance is one of the shortest on the market - which is why so many lenses can be adapted to E bodies. You cannot do the reverse without having optics in the adapter. You can easily adapt lenses designed for a longer flange distance to a body with a shorter distance without any optics in the adapter. Now I want to use my E-mount lenses on another maker's cameras, but there doesn't seem to be a single adapter that is made for this! EVERY time I try to find it, all I find are adapters for using other makers' lenses on a Sony body! Me, too! I have a Sony NEX-5N and a Sony a5100, plus E-mount lenses for both. The EOS-M mount lens will not fit on the 600D either. Some of them come in mirrorless verion also, those lenses have a build in adapter. I was thinking of Canon DSLR mount lenses from Samyang, those can be adapted. You are right for lenses especialy designed for mirrorless cameras. The Canon version will be for the EF-M mount which has the same flange distance as E mount. The only way to use a Samyang lens on both systems is when you buy a Canon version and an adapter for E-mount. The flange distance of the E-mount is much smaller then that of the Canon mount. This will only be possible with an adapter with a lens in it. However, I cannot find an adapter that would allow NEX E mount lenses to fit on Canon EOS cameras. I have seen a number of lens adapters that allows Canon EF lenses to fit on Sony NEX cameras. I am looking for a way to fit this lens on my friend's Canon 600D. I have just acquired the Samyang 12mm f/2.0 lens but bought the Sony E mount version as I have NEX 6 as my primary still camera.
